Disciplined Or Forgetful?

As it should be known I write here on Wednesdays. A problem occurs then when you don’t realize that your day is your day like it was today. I seriously thought it was Tuesday and tonight I was thinking about what my 3by9 entry should be when I looked at the calendar and discovered it really was Wednesday. I was amazed. Somehow I skipped a whole day in the week (pretty sure it was Monday) and am about to miss my 3by9 deadline.

When you run your own company or even blog you can’t afford catastrophic mistakes such as this one. You should schedule it out even though you know how intelligent you are and that you will never forget. Working at home makes the situation even more difficult if you aren’t disciplined enough. Add to the fact that I have a million blogs to run then things can get lost in the shuffle.

This is what I am finding out about successful business people, it isn’t necessarily how smart you are or how how lucky you are, but how disciplined you can be in getting things done. Crazy concept I know. Sometimes it is the person that works the hardest. Sometimes it actually is the smartest person or the luckiest, but many times all of those people are disciplined enough to get things done.

I can be that person, just not when I forget a whole day at the beginning of the week.

This has got to be one of the shortest 3by9 posts ever. I’m assuming this ‘day jump’ took you by surprise, and you didn’t have anything prepared to post about.

Though the updates on Expert Idiot more than make up for it, so I can’t complain.

I agree. I’m an idiot. I’ll come with the fire next week to make up for letting the team down.
